The ANR Jeune Chercheur PHILOMED project aims to measure the impact of medical discoveries from the perspective of the emergence of philosophical anthropology in the 17th and 18th centuries. This project was launched in October 2009 for a duration of 3 years. Led by Stefanie Buchenau (Université Paris 8 Saint-Denis), co-directed by Anne-Lise Rey (Université de Lille 1) and Claire Crignon (Université Paris-Sorbonne), it brings together a team of 15 researchers from France, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Among its technical objectives are: the publication of an anthology of texts and a companion on the impact of medical research on philosophy, in collaboration with BIU Santé: digitization of about sixty works on the history of medicine. The site allows for communication of the team's activities (workshops, publications, conferences, digitization project) as well as dissemination of news on research regarding the relationships between medicine and philosophy (Classical Age and Enlightenment) and their contemporary extensions.

I was born in 1973 in Izmir. I completed my primary and secondary education at Izmir Karşıyaka High School. I successfully completed my undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering at Bilkent University with a full scholarship. After completing my Master's degree in Industrial Engineering at Gazi University, I finished my PhD program in Energy Systems Engineering at the same university with honors. I received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Energy Systems Engineering on February 28, 2023, from the Interuniversity Council. In my professional career, I have served as a Project Manager and Total Quality Manager at Aycell Communication and Marketing Company, Strategy and Planning Manager / ERP System Manager at Kaya Telekom A.Ş., and Deputy General Manager at Comtech Telecommunications Inc. During my public service that started in 2006 at the Turkish Statistical Institute, I held positions such as TÜİK Expert, Team Leader of the Industry Department, and Group Leader of Environmental Accounts. Between 2018 and 2022, I served as the Head of the Environment and Climate Department at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. I completed my role as Deputy Head of the Climate Change Presidency, which was established on October 29, 2021, on February 16, 2024, after resigning from my civil service. Currently, I work as the Director of Public Relations at Çimentaş, a company operating under Cementir Holding, one of our country's esteemed firms. I have published many scientific articles and papers in national and international fields on Renewable Energy, Environment, Climate Change, and Combustion Fuels. I have taught part-time as a guest lecturer at Turkish Aeronautical Association and Gazi University. Since 2015, I have been serving as a Senior Expert (ERT) in the Agriculture and Energy Sectors within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). In this context, I technically review the Greenhouse Gas Inventory Reports (NIR) on behalf of the UNFCCC, representing our country each year. My main areas of expertise include Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Renewable Energy, Climate Change, Climate Change Negotiations, Climate Policy Analysis, Energy Efficiency, and Strategic Project Planning. I am married and a father of one child.
