La España Azul

La España Azul is a scientific expedition that aims to explore, learn, and protect the marine environment around Spain. After 10 months of navigation starting from the Basque Country in September 2022, the expedition has concluded its fieldwork phase in Barcelona, focusing on data collection and sample analysis in collaboration with the University of Cádiz. The initiative seeks to generate environmental impact through scientific research, including studies on macro-waste and micro and nano-plastics.
