The Collaborative Research Center 1171 'Affective Societies: Dynamics of Living Together in Mobile Worlds' aims to establish a new understanding of societies that takes into account the fundamental importance of affects and emotions. We investigate mobile, networked, and mediated worlds of the global present, as well as the accompanying dynamics of transformation and crisis.
